all you need to know: where and when to vote

You can vote in person on election day, Monday October 26 or online anytime between now and 8:00 p.m. on election day.

I knocked on nearly every single door and tried to talk to everyone this summer and fall in Ward 1, visiting Blair, Preston Heights, Lang's Farm, River Mill, Mill Run and Silverheights. People had great ideas and shared many similar values and concerns.

A reminder about me: I am Jeff, the friendly volunteer and teacher who you spoke with (link to my bio and experience) and I believe that we need a city councillor who will listen to residents and can make Cambridge better (full platform here with my ideas to save tax dollars and put them towards priorities).

We need a councillor who will get more for Ward 1 and to ensure our neighborhoods receive the same treatment as other parts of the city. Cambridge needs to be more affordable, and I also want to work on the issues that matter: traffic, upgrades to parks and safer trails, and building community. But it all comes down to this: who shows up to vote.

And you don't have to wait until October 26.

why vote early?

Because Cambridge municipal elections are close ones and sometimes have been decided in the past by just 20-something votes! You might get busy and forget to vote so it’s good to have a vote plan!

In-person voting. Monday October 26!

🗳 In-Person Voting on Election Day - Monday Oct 26, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.

On Voting Day, you can cast your ballot at any of the three voting locations that are assigned to Ward 1:

  • Allen Reuter Centre: 507 King Street East

  • Cambridge Hotel & Conference Centre: 700 Hespeler Road

  • St. Gabriel Catholic Elementary School: 15 Baldwin Drive

What to bring in person: One piece of government photo ID with your name and Cambridge address (like your Ontario driver's licence), or two documents that together show your name and address — a utility bill, bank statement, or lease all count. Your Voter Notification Letter on its own is not an ID. In-person voting information is here: cambridge.ca/voting

online voting. anytime now until Monday October 26, 8 pm!

💻 Online — any time until October 26 before 8 p.m.

The City has helpful videos on how to vote online. You'll need the Voting PIN from the Voter Notification Letter the City mailed out, and you'll need to verify your ID online first. Don't have your letter? Call the City at 519-513-6415.

When you've voted, send me a text or email. It genuinely makes my day to know that people are doing their civic duty and going to vote!
